ಕುಲಭೂಷಣ್ ಜಾದವ್ ಅವರ ತಾಯಿ ಆವಂತಿಕಾ ಹಾಗೂ ಪತ್ನಿ ಇಸ್ಲಾಮಾಬಾದ್ ಗೆ ತೆರಳಲು ನವದೆಹಲಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಪಾಕಿಸ್ತಾನ ರಾಯಭಾರಿ ಕಚೇರಿ ವೀಸಾ ನೀಡಿದ್ದು ಈ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಡಿಸೆಂಬರ್ 25ರಂದು ಕುಲಭೂಷಣ್ ಜಾಧವ್ ತಾಯಿ ಮತ್ತು ಪತ್ನಿಯನ್ನು ಭೇಟಿಯಾಗುವ ಸಾಧ್ಯತೆ ಇದೆ.

ನವೆಂಬರ್ 10ರಂದು ಕುಲಭೂಷಣ್ ಜಾಧವ್ ಭೇಟಿಗೆ ಅವರ ತಾಯಿ ಮತ್ತು ಪತ್ನಿಗೆ ಅವಕಾಶ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಡುವುದಾಗಿ ಪಾಕಿಸ್ತಾನ ಸಕರ್ಾರ ಹೇಳಿತ್ತು. ಈ ಹಿಂದೆ ಕುಲಭೂಷಣ್ ಜಾಧವ್ ಕುರಿತಂತೆ ಭಾರತ ಸಕರ್ಾರ 20 ಬಾರಿ ಮನವಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರು ಈ ಮನವಿಯನ್ನು ಪಾಕಿಸ್ತಾನ ಸಕರ್ಾರ ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸಿತ್ತು.
47 ವರ್ಷದ ಕುಲಭೂಷಣ್ ಜಾದವ್ ಪಾಕಿಸ್ತಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೇಹುಗಾರಿಕೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂಬ ಆರೋಪದ ಮೇರೆಗೆ ಕಳೆದ ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಕಿಸ್ತಾನ ಮಿಲಿಟರಿ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯ ಗಲ್ಲು ಶಿಕ್ಷೆ ಕಾಯಂಗೊಳಿಸಿತ್ತು. ಇದನ್ನು ವಿರೋಧಿಸಿ ಭಾರತ ಅಂತಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯದ ಮೊರೆ ಹೋಗಿತ್ತು.
